Rosh Chodesh which literally means “Head of the Month” is the holiday that marks the beginning of every Hebrew month. According to legend, the holiday of Rosh Chodesh was a reward given to the women of Israel because they refused to surrender their jewelry for the creation of the Golden Calf. Because of their righteousness, the women were exonerated from working on Rosh Chodesh. We take on the responsibility of being counted in a minyan. We encourage our members to attend minyan to celebrate Rosh Chodesh. Rosh Chodesh services begin at 8:00 AM on weekdays or 8:45 AM on Sundays
Join the Healing Circle. Start each new month where we come together to celebrate the New Moon with an uplifting evening of song, prayer, teachings and meditation. Experience how to use the Kabbalistic energies associated with each season to heal ourselves and those in need. The Healing Circle is facilitated by Sue Gurland, Spiritual Director and Creator of Moving Through the Tree of Life and Reb Tuviah, musician, song leader and Rabbi of Temple Beth David in Springhill, Florida. No prior experience, knowledge, or reading Hebrew is required. Everyone, women and men, are welcome from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Join us and invite your friends! Zoom link for the Healing Circle will be provided in the B’nai Torah weekly email calendar. Please contact Sue Gurland at suegboca@gmail.com with any questions.
